"The Cellar" was completed last night just before midnight. This picture does truly mark a milestone for me, and Maelorum. This is a very technical illustration, and the texture in this work is immense. I believe that the actual picture weighs close to two pounds due to all the layers of material. I spent two months working on this, adding up to about 100 hours. "The Cellar" is the second of a three part series of plates for the book, which allow the reader to navigate into different area and serves to immerse the imagination. Having this piece in place opens the door for me to begin beta-testing the gamebook which I have been looking forward to for over a year. The last plate in this series is called "The Dungeon" for obvious reasons, but will be done after all of the beta testing.
